And so that was 2006 Tuesday, 09 Jan 2007

I’ve been meaning to post a bit of a 2006 review for a while. Not that there’s that much to review.
In February I moved into a new flat, where I currently am, with he who used to be a salesman, tried to escape and still is a salesman despite his bitter bitter hatred for it, particularly given his academic/professional background. In March I started this blog and had a semi-breakdown due to work pressure having worked almost non-stop since August. Not much happened in April or May except for visiting the Albers & Moholoy-Nagy exhibition at Tate Modern. In June I enjoyed the first proper sunny weekend of the year in Greenwich Park, and went on holiday to Barcelona. Nothing much happened in July at all, no posts even, except that I continued to get pissed off with the job (though long picnic lunches in the park eased that pain) and I started the long hard search for alternative employment. August was a month of resolutions: principally to find a new job, and to do a masters/phd, and I went for an arty walk through East London. September was also a bit quiet, but I had sent off a few job applications. Things got better in October, with a job interview, had a nightmare of a time with nightbuses, the discovery of a good cookie recipe and a job offer. November invovled two weeks off before I quit my job in which I visited my sister in Norwich and friends in Nottingham. While December rounded off both the year and I finished my old job and started my new one.
So 2006 was mainly a year of frustration: principally work orientated, but partly man related (more the continued frustration of not having one – not that I really worked on getting one).
Well here’s hoping 2007 is a better year. And so far so good.
