Just realised I haven’t posted for over a month, so not doing so great on the whole try and blog once a week thing. Nothing really changed in my life: still battling despondency at work, which isn’t being helped by working from the Shoreditch office every once in a while where I feel productive then going back to crapney where I’m not.
Had a haircut today, so now I’m short-haired again. Then went down to the Tate Modern to go and see a very interesting exhibition, Albers & Moholoy-Nagy: From Bauhaus to the new world. Very much the abstract art that I enjoy, but since its abstract also very hard to describe. As they were both also art professors (both starting at the German Bauhaus but ending up in American) they had some very interesting quotes from them. From Moholy-Nagy there was “technical progress should never be the goal, but instead the means”, while Albers provides “the more that is taught the less that can be learned”.
